Catching Fire Review
Title: Catching Fire
Author: Suzanne Collins
Authors Website: http://www.suzannecollinsbooks.com/
Series: The Hunger Games Trilogy
Release Date: September 1, 2009
Goodreads Description: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.
This book caught me completely off guard! Suzanne Collins threw in a curve ball that I was never expecting! I don't like to give away spoilers in my reviews, so I won't say exactly what it was. Just know that Catching Fire definitely delivers just like The Hunger Games did! It has the same intense energy about it. It is not lacking in the action, nor the romance department!
The love triangle gets deeper with every chapter! I should mention that I am still for Team Peeta even though we saw a little bit more of Gale in this book. I have a feeling that the love triangle is going to blow over and be very intense in Mockingjay.
Don't even think that your thirst is going to be quenched after reading this book! It ends with one of the biggest cliffhangers I have ever encountered! I am anxiously awaiting the release of Mockingjay!

Talking about a cliffhanger!!!!I read this book as long as it was published and i just couldn't believe the end!!!At least the days are coming close for Mockingjay!Team Peeta also!
I sort of had a mini implosion right after I finished. And I am for Peeta as well. I think I'd like Gale better if I knew him more but I don't and Peeta's actions speak so loud. Hopefully Katniss is all ears.
I want to read this so badly! I haven't even bought this one yet and I've already pre-ordered Mockingjay :)
Have a great weekend!

Glad to find other team Peeta members! How scarry is it that I just finished reading this book for the second time. With all I have to read. But I loved it. Can't wait for Mockingjay. Great blog Becky
I agree - this book was even better than the first! It was so exciting and left me breathless. Good thing I don't have to wait long until Mockingjay.
